STYLING A NARROW ENTRYWAY - THE BASICS
Hey, friend! Today, I am sharing something I get asked about all of the time! How to Style your Entryway - specifically a narrow entryway! This is trulyyyyy one of my favorite spaces to spruce up - it typically takes minimal budget to transform the space & can be changed frequently with just changing a few small things!! It's the first impression guests have of your home, so why not make it a vibbbe - am I right?! With a few key pieces, you can transform this often-overlooked area into a stylish statement that sets the tone for the rest of your home!! So, let’s dive in!!
Here’s what my Entryway looks like right now, but keep reading because I am going to show you guys a tonnnn of different ways to style your very own entryway!
Console Table
Let's start with the backbone of the entryway - the console table!!! Don’t overthink this guys!! I'm all about simplicity and versatility, which is why I adore sourcing console tables from places like Amazon and Target. They offer great quality options that won't break the bank, allowing you to switch up styles effortlessly. Remember, the console table sets the stage, so choose one that speaks to your aesthetic. I have found some other super affordable ones for you here!
In the image above, I currently have that bench across from my black chunky leg console table because I have a galley-style narrow entryway. It’s almost like a hallway, leading in the rest of my home! I chose a bench on one side and the console table on the other!
LIGHTING
Okayyyyy, one of my favorite pieces to add to this area is lighting! Lighting is not just functional; it's an opportunity to add a pop of personality. I try to add my lamp or choice of lighting on one end of the console table to add some height as well. Get creative here! Wanna style an oversized lamp? Do it! Wanna incorporate a fun and quirky piece of lighting? Do it! This is your time to shineee. See what I did there?!?! ;)
I’ve been into the super organic shaped lamps recently (as you can see in my pic with the black console table). I just feel like it gives that pop of personality! Tells you exactly what you’re expecting when you walk in my home. I’ve linked my fave lamps here!
TEXTURE
You guys know that I am a texture girlieeee so no space is complete without adding some texture to it!! And I truly believe that in order to add depth and visual interest, texture is key!!! A ceramic vase filled with faux stems or dried florals not only adds height to your console table but also fills your space with layers. Experiment with different materials and shapes to find what speaks to you!! Be creative when thinking about textures! Whether it’s through a ceramic vase, a metal decorative dish, a candle dish, a paper mache bowl, etc. It all makes such a difference!
WARMTH
Every space needs a cozy touch, even the entryway!! Incorporate warmth with a plush pillow or a soft throw draped over a bench or tucked into a basket. And don’t forget you can do this with your entryway runner. It makes the space sooo inviting and cozy!
FILLERS
Now for the funnnn part!! But don’t overthink this!! When it comes to styling, less is often more. I’ve been alllllll into the minimalist console table styling recently… plus if you style with less things, it costs less ;) & less for my one year old to steal and place who knows where lol. Opt for a few carefully curated pieces like coffee table books, textured bowls, or candlesticks. These accents add personality without overwhelming the space. And the best part, you can often times find these on Amazon or Target for an affordable price! A lot of interior designers love to incorporate layers (I’m sure you can find tons of examples of that on pinterest)! I personally have just been loving to keep it simple.

MIRRORS / ART
Another one of my favvvsss! And this is probably one of my favorite things to switch out. I love adding a piece of art or fun mirror above my entryway table for a statement! I think it can really switch things up and change the entire look of the space by just swapping this out. I love to do this when we are changing seasons as an easy way to transform your space without having to change everything out. Look at how these statement pieces transformed the look of my entryway!

Remember, the key to successful entryway styling is to keep it simple and don't overthink it.
