MY GO TO FORMULA FOR SIMPLE, MINIMAL DRESSER STYLING

Listen, I get it. Dresser styling can be daunting. So many different ways to go about styling one - but the BH way? Keep. It. Simple.

I loveee styling my bedroom dresser! It’s one of my favorite spaces to spruce up as the seasons change and it typically takes minimal budget to transform the space & can be changed frequently with just changing a few small things!! Your bedroom is your safe haven so why not make it relaxing & minimal - am I right?!?! With a few staple pieces, you can transform this area into a statement that can completely change the look of your entire bedroom. Let’s do this!!

Here are a few different ways I have styled my dresser recently, but keep in mind that I am constantly “shopping my home” and changing things up! Get creative & look around your home for what can be used to style! I’ve even seen a creator use a pasta bowl as a decorative bowl, which I thought was SO clever!

Dresser

Let's start with the foundation, can you guess it? Your dresser! A bedroom dresser needs to not only look good but it also needs to be functional. I get asked all the time where my dresser is from - my current bedroom dresser is a DIY I did to the IKEA Tarva dresser. I posted about doing the same process to my old nightstands over on Instagram and you can view my highlight, here.

My biggest piece of advice when purchasing a dresser is don’t feel like you have to buy something super expensive! You can find one on fbmp & flip it OR you can buy a simple one and switch out the hardware (they’re pretty affordable on amazon).

I have linked some dressers below from all price points in all different colors.

Statement piece

When I’m styling my dresser, I start out with either an oversized art piece or a mirror and then build from there. My woven Loloi piece was a splurgeee but totally worth it to me! I have had this piece everywhere in my home! Such a great quality statement piece and soooo beautiful! I just love the texture & neutral tones it gives.

Below I have linked some great statement wall art pieces and mirrors for your dresser!

TEXTURE

You guys know that I am a texture girlieeee so no space is complete without adding some texture to it!! I truly believe that in order to add depth and visual interest, texture is key!!! Especially if you love neutrals - it’s really easy for a neutral space to fall flat & feel boring without texture. A ceramic vase filled with faux stems or dried florals not only adds height to your dresser but also fills your space with layers. I have linked some of my textured pieces down below for you!

FILLERS

Now for one of my favorite parts, the fillers! You guys already knowwww that less is often more in my book and the same is for dresser styling! You don’t want this space to become too overcrowded! I love choosing items like coffee table books, candlesticks, layered boxes, etc. These accents add personality without overwhelming the space. And the best part, you can often times you can source these objects from places like Walmart, Target, & Amazon so it’s super affordable!

Here are some of my favorite styling pieces below from Amazon and Target!
